Ward 9 Safe Streets Campaign
Please join me in helping to make our local streets safe. For the
week of October 1 to 8, I encourage residents to place a
Please Slow Down sign on your lawn. Ideally we will have a sign on every street so talk to your neighbours.
Many residents have already pick up their signs and are ready for this campaign. You still have time to
pick up your Please Slow Down sign as I will be at Lake Aquitaine on Wednesday September 28 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.See the below article on the Trail Etiquette Pilot for the exact location of where you can pick up your sign. In the event of rain on Wednesday, the sign can be picked up inside the Meadowvale Community Centre.
If you cannot collect a sign on Wednesday
please call my office at 905-896-5900 or email me at pat.saito@mississauga.ca to book a sign.
Lets make this a successful campaign and a reminder for all motorists to keep our streets safe.

Trail Etiquette Pilot
I receive many complaints about cyclists on the trials in the ward. Many are not ringing their bell, are speeding on the trails and generally are not showing good trail etiquette.
As our trials such as Lake Aquitaine Trail are heavily used by all ages by both pedestrians and cyclists, we have to respect everyone's space and promote safety.
Please join me and staff from the City of Mississauga Active Transportation Office on Wednesday September 28th at Lake Aquitaine from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm as we review the rules of
trail etiquette and how to share the trail with the wide variety of users on it. In the event of rain we will reschedule to another date and I will advise.
We will be located on the path at the N/E tip of Lake Aquitaine east of the Meadowvale Community Centre and South of Aquitaine Ave. This is where you can also pick up your Please Slow Down Sign.
