Thank you for reading the Registration Edition of the Counseling Corner. We are thrilled to begin the planning process for the 2018-2019 academic year! Registering for classes can bring up many questions, so we hope this is helpful to you.

March Overview
Honors/AP Interest Forms
From Monday, February 26 through Friday, March 2, all students will be completing an Honors / AP Interest Form in their Math, Science, English, and Social Science classes. These forms are located on the respective teacher's CANVAS page. Students will be asked to indicate whether or not they are interested in Honors or AP courses for the 2018-2019 year. After this step has been accomplished, teachers will indicate whether the student has been (a) approved for the course, (b) does not meet the prerequisite, or (c) needs to take a challenge test. Students will be emailed on Friday, March 9 to learn whether or not they need to take one or more challenge tests.
Challenge Testing
Many students will be asked to take a challenge test to enter into Honors and AP classes. Challenge Testing will take place from March 12 through March 15 from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and after school from 2:45 p.m to 4:00 p.m.
Monday, March 12 - English Challenge Testing
Tuesday, March 13 - Math Challenge Testing
Wednesday, March 14 - Science Challenge Testing
Thursday, March 15 - Social Science Challenge Testing
Students that are required to take a challenge test must attend either the morning or afternoon session on the appropriate day.

Important Information - Intruder Response Drill
On Thursday, March 1, Crean Lutheran will conduct an Intruder Response Drill for the purpose of training and preparing students, faculty, and staff in proper procedures and expectations to ensure the safety of all Saints. The drill will last approximately 10 minutes and will not have a major impact on academic time.
