Kamm's Cat Guardians Offer Help in Reducing the Number of Stray and Feral Cats
Kitten season is upon us already. You may have noticed the
howling and spraying and sometimes fighting among cats that are hanging around your yard. The best thing to do is trap them, neuter them, and put them back (Trap Neuter Return, TNR).
Kamm's Cat Guardians (KCG) will help you learn to trap or assist if needed. Then the cats go to the Cleveland APL to be spayed or neutered and vaccinated against rabies and three contagious viruses for $10. After a 24-to-48-hour recuperation, they will go back to where they were trapped. Why? Cats are territorial. A TNR'd cat will NOT reproduce and will keep other cats from moving in. Eventually, the population will reduce over time.
Learn more about the KCG and how you can help by visiting their new website,
here. Or contact them by leaving a voicemail at 216-659-4434 or by emailing [email protected].
- Donate cat food at the KCG's first cat food drive on Sunday, April 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Setta Trophy, 4335 Rocky River Drive.
