Countdown to Hunger Hike = 17 Days
Honorary Co-Chairs Kick-Off Hunger Hike 2017
This year’s Honorary Co-chairs kicked off the 25 annual Hunger Hike at a special event last week. This year's co-chairs are Purdue coaches Sharon Versyp (women’s basketball) & Dave Kucik (rowing & crew). They both spoke passionately about the 25th annual Hunger Hike and how important it is to come together as a community to Fight Hunger.

They also put out a challenge to the entire community to start fundraising now and to beat last year’s Hunger Hike total of $114,000. Representatives from the three sponsoring organizations— Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, Inc. & St. Thomas Aquinas Center—also offered remarks and shared how important this fundraiser is to addressing the needs in our community and abroad.

At the end of the event, the Diamond & Gold Level Event Sponsors were thanked and acknowledged. The Diamond Level event sponsor is the Lafayette Life Foundation; and the Gold Level sponsors are Cook Medical, The Kroger Co. ( Pay Less Super Market) & Walmart/Sam’s Club. Please join us in thanking all of our corporate donors and support them if you have the opportunity. To see a list of our 2017 Hunger Hike Sponsors (so far), click HERE.
