Girl Scout Night at the Mystics - June 8
Before you Rock the Mall...Rock the Ball at Verizon Center on June 8 as the Washington Mystics, DC's women's basketball team, host a Girl Scout night presented by GEICO. All tickets are $12 and include a commemorative Girl Scout patch. For more details contact Jill Buxbaum at jbuxbaum@monumentalsports.com.
Girl Scouts in 6th through 12th grade will be earning their GEICO DASHboard Road Safety Patch while participating in fun activities in the Verizon Center before the Mystics Game from 4 pm - 5:30 with free dinner vouchers and free Mystics tickets for participants and chaperones. Agents of Change
Some of you may remember reading our transmissions from the future. We were teasing a game called Agents of Change that has arrived just in time for Girl Scouts Rock the Mall! Here is the latest from the gamemakers:
Imagine a future with no culture, no creativity... no cookies. Humanity has survived amongst ruins of the past. Join the Agents of Change to travel through time and transform your dystopian world. Your decisions determine the fate of the future
Your Girl Scouts can become time traveling anthropologists, tasked with visiting 21st Century DC. They must collect the past to save the future. The game runs June 7-17. Girls can sign up and check out the game trailer at agentsofchangeHQ.com. Exclusive Girl Scout sign-up code: GS100. Parents' e-mail addresses required. Registration is Re-open! Thanks to overwhelming demand, Girl Scout Rock the Mall online registration has reopened. Given the event is around the corner, we CANNOT guarantee merchandise will be delivered to you before Saturday, June 9. Though it is highly recommended, you are not required to wear the t-shirt and patch to attend Girl Scouts Rock the Mall.
Walk-in registration will be held Wednesday, May 30 until Saturday, June 2 at the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital Shop, located at 4301 Connecticut Ave, NW, Mezzanine level, Washington, DC 20008. You can register and pick-up your Girl Scouts Rock the Mall t-shirt and patch during the registration times of 10 AM - 2 PM.
For those with Accessibility/Accommodation needs:
While we extended the registration deadline. However, we cannot guarantee accessibility/accommodation for late registrants. Accessibility accommodations include: transportation from designated shuttle stops to the National Mall and seating in an accessible area. Requests are being handled on a first-come, first-served basis until we reach maximum capacity. Please continue to indicate your needs on our registration forms. We will follow-up with you IF we are able to accommodate your request.

Be Prepared! Visit the What to Expect section of our website at http://100.gscnc.org/what_to_expect.html for important tips on emergency procedures. Learn what you can bring and what's prohibited on the National Mall. Make sure you have a plan in case of emergency. Identify a location in advance and inform all the members of your group where to meet. Make sure all girls travel with emergency contact information. And, make sure everyone in your group knows the bus pick-up location.
