Less Than a Week Until Toy Room Opening

December is already here - we can't believe it! For the past few weeks, we have been collecting donations, recruiting and training volunteers, and engaging with our community to provide support to women in Calgary this holiday season. Last year, over 4,000 gifts were provided to women and children. We have experienced a 26% increase in services this year and are expecting the same for our Toy Room. We are still in great need of toys for 8-11 year olds, our largest group last year!

Environmental Issues Discussion Series - Program Launch

What does it means to apply a gender lens to environmental issues? We are launching a new environmental issues discussion series at the Women's Centre. We are kicking things off with a discussion about gender, climate change, and the intersections between the two. We'll hear from special guests about climate change and its impacts here in Southern Alberta.

There will be an opportunity to mix and mingle, connect with other women interested in environmental issues, and provide input on future environmental issues discussion topics. We hope you can make it!
