We're counting down to the Franklin Park Kite Festival! 

 

Join us in Boston's backyard - Franklin Park - to celebrate the arrival of spring! 

 

Bring your bike. and a kite. Or buy a pocket kite for only $5 from Discover Roxbury and a keepsake Franklin Park Kite Festival t-shirt for $15, designed by our interns, artists' Joshua Wilmoth and Destiny Palmer. (Make it even more valuable by getting it signed by the artists!)

 

This event is for kids of all ages and takes place at the Franklin Park Playstead ballfield, between Pierpont Rd, the Stadium and the Zoo. SPARC!, the mobile art van from MassArt CACP, will be on site offering face painting and other crafts. Fried dough and grilled cheese will be available through food trucks, and perhaps some healthier offerings as well.
