iTots Storytime

If you've stopped by our busy Children's Department lately, you may have noticed that the old PCs have been replaced by 3 iPads and 2 large touch-screen PCs.

Last fall Cranberry Public Library received a $20,337 state grant funded by the Federal Library Services and Tec hnology Act which all   owed us to bring the new devices to CPL.

Starting in January, we'll be launching our iTots storytimes. More iPads, acquired through the same grant and outfitted with children's stories and early literacy apps, will be introduced into storytimes held on Thursday evenings.

Each 30-minute session will allow whole families to join Miss Annemarie for interactive and read-along fun. There will, as always, be an emphasis on pre-literacy skills, but it will also be storytime with a technological twist!

iTots Storytimes will be offered on the following evenings:

Thursday, January 12 & 26 at 6:30PM
Thursday, February 9 & 23 at 6:30PM

This project is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education through the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, Governor.
