February 14th  @7:00pm
*Confirmation Class arrives to set up at 6:30pm

Pastor Nate is inviting you to Ash Wednesday! Families are welcome to experience interactive worship on Ash Wednesday together. Led by the Confirmation class, the service features four stations based on spiritual practices you can try at home as a family, including letting go of burdens, reflecting on how we can serve God, the lectio divina form of prayer, and explore the names of God.

You'll get a small pebble to write a name of God on to literally carry with you in your pocket or backpack all Lent long, as well as lots to talk about as a family on practicing faith together.

Let's Plan the PERFECT Party for Paul Bunyan!

Sunday, February 25th @1:00pm
HAUMC Sanctuary

*Don't miss the sneak peek February 11th!

Come along with us and join the party!

"Big Ears and the Blue Ox" is an original interactive concert presentation with brass instruments, drums, and narrator designed for children ages 2 - 10. The concert takes kids on a trip through the Minnesota woods while they help Big Ears the Rabbit build the perfect song for Paul Bunyan's birthday party. Along the way, children learn how to carefully listen for musical concepts like melody, rhythm and harmony while singing and moving their bodies to the music.

RSVP to the Facebook event here.

The Values Project is a year-long initiative designed to equip families to raise children who thrive emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Get inspiration, practical ideas, family activities, and parenting tips from our network of seasoned parents and faith leaders, because it takes a village to raise a good human. Each month we'll explore a different value-like honesty, loyalty, creativity, kindness, and more.

The Language of Kindness
Aqueelah Ligonde reflects on the importance of speaking the language of kindness into the hearts of our kids.

Written by: Aqueelah Ligonde

I have a seven-year-old niece who has a beautiful heart. One day, as she entered her Sunday school class, another little girl was crying because she didn't want to leave her mother. My niece walked right over to her, took her hand, and said "Don't worry, your mommy will be back. Come with me and I'll be your friend." She then sat beside the little girl the entire class and made sure she wasn't left alone for even one minute.

When the little girl's mother returned to class to get her, my niece told her mother, "She was a little sad, but I was her friend and she's better now." When I asked her what made her befriend the little girl, my niece simply answered, "Well, she was sad. And it is right to be kind to others." She was four years old at the time. This may just seem like a simple story about a little girl living out her Sunday school lessons, but it is way more than that...   Read More
