Greetings!

Spring is here, and Passover's near - it begins on Monday night, April 14. The holiday provides opportunities to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy while exploring ways to help those around the world who are still oppressed. There are myriad creative ways to engage young children in Passover celebrations while introducing the serious topic of slavery.

Below are links to skits, craft projects, songs, dances and of course PJ Library books to utilize for your seder and week-long observance. To build excitement, I recommend planning ahead and involving your children in how to tell the Passover story.

Remember to check out our Pinterest and Facebook pages to share additional ideas and successes.

Enjoy your celebration of freedom and the warmer weather!

Meet Amber, Elisa, Shoshana & Benjamin!

Amber, Elisa, Shoshana (age 5), & Benjamin (age 3)
"We are huge fans of PJ Library...not only do we utilize all of the CD's (both children can be seen singing the Jewish songs loudly in our car), books, and DVD's we have received, but I often "borrow" my children's books to use in my Rockwern classroom.
"As a somewhat untraditional family we love that PJ has embraced books that show a diversity of family structures so that our children see themselves represented in our Jewish world. PJ gives us as parents (and teachers) the ability to reinforce values that are important to our family through the amazing library of books we now have. Thank you, PJ!"

Fifth Question

Did you know that in Cincinnati's Jewish Community there are 1100 families living in poverty - families that are too often overlooked?

This Passover, as you are seated around the Seder table, teach your children the importance of helping others who are seated around the Table of Hunger and Poverty by asking a fifth question.

Download  the fifth question to read at your Seder or visit Jewish Family Service for more information and ways to help those in need.
