Crop Talk, August 29: Week 13

Hail to the Honey Crisp Apples!

You may have noticed some dents in the apples this season which is a result of the hail storms we had back in June.  The Honey Crisp trees really took a beating in those spring storms with all the young fruit on the trees.    They may not be picture perfect but we hope you enjoy this most popular of apple.

Looks like cooler weather coming at the end of the week  making for some great apple picking! This will be the last week for picking honey crisp apples.

Apple Gala ~ Each weekend in September

Join us for the fall apple harvest season.

We will be doing Apple Cider Pressing Demonstrations on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.  Come meet Farmer Jake and Pawpaw and learn all about making apple cider.

We have live music each weekend in September and are kicking off on the 3rd, 4th and 10th  with Tony M.  This former music teacher is making it as a solo artist and is one of our very favorites!  He invites the kids on stage and has bird seed for the kids to make shakers.
