We are nearing the end of Day 3 of the Bike Austin Membership Drive.

We've added 27 members, bringing our total to 252 individual members! We are still a long way from 500, but we are making fair progress to meet our goal by June 15th.

Don't forget that we are giving away prizes throughout the Membership Drive:

• The Thursday, May 31st winner of the Planet Bike headlight is Stephen Bosbach!
• The Friday, June 1st winner of two tickets to ACL Live at The Moody Theater is not yet determined. All who join or renew by midnight tonight will be entered to win the ACL Live tickets.
• And remember, if you enter now, you'll be eligible for all remaining prizes throughout the Membership Drive. So, don't wait. (One prize per person.)

These last two days are a testament to why Bike Austin needs a Membership Coordinator. I spent a few hours putting together the pieces to find funding for Austin metro trail, bikeway, and sidewalk projects. I met with one of our volunteers to upgrade components of our website. I processed a grant application. I've been in communication with numerous members and volunteers. Yesterday was filled with similar tasks. All of this is important work... but I didn't get a chance to send you an email to remind you about the Membership Drive! The Membership Drive is almost a full-time job in itself.

We need to take this organization to the next step.
