It's great to be together as God's family doing the Frolic, Sunday, and Wednesday School year again! How wonderful to see all of your children's faces and to be blessed with such amazing volunteers. Share a Word That Describes You
|
Sharing in the spirit of Pr. Randy's sermon that we all have different gifts, I've put up a "You're a Special Piece of the Whole" display outside the Labyrinth Room. Put up one word that describes you on a puzzle piece located next to the display and tape it up so that together we can celebrate the many unique gifts of our one congregation! This is for children and adults.

Introducing Pumpkin Prayers, The October Cross+Gen Event

Sunday October 14 from

Everyone is the congregation is welcome to the Pumpkin Prayer Cross+Gen Event in the Fellowship Hall. We’ll be painting pumpkins and growing in our understanding of God’s love through seasonal activity and discussion.
This will be in lieu of regular Sunday School and Middle School Youth Group education. All students 5
th grade and younger must attend with a parent/caring adult.

Join us for OSL Children & Family Fellowship Night at the Country Apple Orchard
|
|
Wednesday October 17 from 6-8pm
|
Birth-12th graders along with their parents are invited for an evening of free train rides, bounce house, hay rides, at the Country Apple Orchard.
This will be in lieu of regular Wednesday night programming. Apples, cider, and food will be available in the Country Store. All students 5th grade and younger must attend with a parent/caring adult.

Family Favorites Put Luck Supper

Saturday October 27 at 6pm
|
What is your family's favorite meal? The Congregational Life Board Presents Family Favorites Pot Luck Supper in the Gathering Place. Bring your family's favorite dish to share with others and the recipe with it. AND, there will be a special place for the kid-cooked dishes so encourage your budding chef's to do their thing. This will be a wonderful night shared by all and free will donations will go to the Kitchen Fund and Mission Possible.

Quickly Approaching Milestones

Three-year old-students
receive their bibles Sept 23. We invite three-year-old children together with their parents for Family Time with Pastor Sami at 10am in the Friendship Room. Then, at 11am Festive worship, families will receive a blessing and sing Jesus Loves Me.
|
|
|
|
Kindergarten Caring Conversations is October 7. This milestone will be celebrated in 8:45 Celebrate Worship and then, afterwards, kindergarten children and their parents will go to Family Time with Pastor Sami in the Friendship Room at 10am where you'll make a special take home conversation piece.
This will be in lieu of Sunday School for Sunday learners.

All 4-Year-Old Through 5th Grade Students Sing in 8:45 Celebrate Worship October 7.
|
|
When you get to worship please show your child where you will be sitting. Then, take him or her downstairs to the Labyrinth Room where we will warm up before singing in worship. Your child will be able to join you in the pew after he or she is done singing.

Children's Christmas Program

December 16 at 8:45 Celebrate and 11am Festive. This involves all four-year-old through 5th grade students. Special practice will be the morning of December 15. Age specific timing for practice will come in the future. Please invite your family to celebrate the season and your child's program now!

This is a new coffeehouse community time for OSL adults with warm beverages, games, conversation, and more in the Fellowship Hall at 10am the first Sunday of each month. Come rest, relax, and better get to know fellow parents and adults in the congregation while your child is at Sunday School. Sabbath Seeker dates will be Oct 7, Nov 4, Dec 2, Jan 6, Feb 3, Mar 3, Apr 7, and May 5.
