Every Monday at our Western Henrico Clinic you can hear the sounds of laughter coming from the Connection Center.
This summer, a group of women from River Road Church, Baptist started a sewing circle for our patients. The church donated six sewing machines and supplies and the group quickly took off
Teaching sewing basics can help families save money on clothes, and potentially lead to a source of income.
The classes also serve as a social outlet for new immigrants who can often face isolation.
"This has been such a wonderful experiences for all of us," says volunteer Judy Collins. "We have so much fun every week."
