This Sunday we will celebrate the gifts of creation that are constant reminders of God's loving presence with us everywhere and all the time. There will be beautiful images of creation, scripture and poetry to inspire us to live every day with thanksgiving in our hearts for the beautiful gift of Earth. To celebrate and honor Earth Day will have some simple suggestions as to how each of us might care for creation in our daily lives. This will truly be an inspirational hour celebrating God's gift of creation. A great Sunday to invite someone to come with you.
Part II of Celebrating God's Gift of Creation will include acts of service as a way to worship. We will gather in the sanctuary for a time of singing and a brief inspirational message. Then we will continue to celebrate God's creation by serving in nature. There will be many ways to serve both inside the building as well as out in the community. Let's come together in service.
The new series starts this Saturday, April 22: What We Talk About When We Talk About Church.
At Underground we celebrate and draw from the rich traditions of the Church, as they have taken shape over the last 2,000 years. At the same time, we try to remember the essence of what it means to be CHURCH. If you are someone who seeks to live more in tune with the counter-culture way of Jesus, join us for our next series: What We Talk About When We Talk About Church. Together we will explore what it meant to be Church in the wake of the resurrection, and what it means for us today. Click here for more information.
