Thank you for a terrific year of Scouting! Our council is on track to finish the year with an increase in membership, increased participation in events and camping, as well as successful fundraising. All of it is made possible by the work you do in support of youth through Scouting.
Water Permit Approved For Smilin V  

We have successfully secured the proper permitting from TCEQ at Smilin V Scout Ranch, insuring that the water supplied by the on-site well is safe to drink. So, the next time your pack camps at Smilin V, you'll be able to tap into the well for drinking water.
University Of Scouting Next Month  

Registration is now open for the best supplemental Scouting training at all levels, the University of Scouting. It takes place on Saturday, January 27, at the ACC Eastview campus, and is led by the most creative and experienced Scouters from all over our council. CLICK HERE to register.

Be A Part Of Report To State   

Have you registered your Scout unit yet to join thousands of Scouts marching up Congress Avenue to the Capitol onFebruary 3 for the annual Report to State (RTS) event? The "Scouting Across Texas" event includes the parade and a Scout spirit rally and Eagle recommitment ceremony on the south steps of the Capitol. Afterwards, check out Austin's cool sites. New this year: every youth and adult in a Scout uniform gets into the Bob Bullock State History Museum that day for free! Event registration is free. Official RTS patches are $8 per person. STEMboree Registration Opens January 1   

STEMboree is an event open to all Cub Scouts and their families at the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center. There will be awesome STEM and NOVA classes, a STEM Midway with a hands-on periodic table, lasers, rockets, chemicals, engineering, moon rocks, NASA, science, math, and much, much more! Midway is free, classes will be $8 each. Registration will open January 1.
Help Us Honor Volunteer Leaders In March    

Join us on Saturday, March 24, at the  Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center to honor volunteers receiving our council level awards:  ┬íScouting...Vale la Pena!, Silver Beaver, William H. Spurgeon III, and Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Awards, Sea Scout Leadership Award, Venturing Leadership Award. There is no charge to attend this terrific celebration of service to youth through Scouting. More information coming soon!
