This training event is being offered by PROCEED, Inc., National Center For Training, Support and Technical Assistance, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the 
Center of Excellence for Transgender Health.
 
The Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) Regional Skills Building Institute will provide an opportunity for HIV prevention, care, and treatment providers to learn, synthesize, and apply best practices in HIV prevention, care and treatment to their own work.  The institute will offer knowledge and skill-based workshops that address organizational capacity at every stage of the HIV care continuum, from HIV testing to viral suppression. These workshops will also facilitate discussions to identify  opportunities, challenges, and strategies to reinforce and advance the critical role of community-based organizations in the HIV system of care. 
 
Workshop sessions that will be offered include;
  • Sustainability Planning in the Era of HIP
  • Best Practices in Transgender Health
  • Effective Recruitment and Engagement Strategies for HIV Testing
  • PrEP Best Practices
  • HIV Navigation Strategy to Improve Care Access
  • Enhancing Program and Client Outcomes through Cultural Competence Practices and Strategies
  • Antiretroviral Therapy Support to Improve HIV Medication Adherence
