Message from Roberta J. Cook, President/CEO

You did it! Thanks to your advocacy efforts, the legislature approved a State budget that includes funding for outpatient behavioral health services and prevention. This year we saw more activity and advocacy on behalf of those struggling with mental illness and addiction than ever before. Parents, clients, and behavioral health professionals were up at the capitol in force demanding that lawmakers support funding for outpatient services. The media responded with more attention and coverage than I've ever witnessed. Articles about outpatient services, personal recovery stories, and stories from families were on the covers of local and regional papers. Your advocacy efforts not only resulted in funding, they resulted in a statewide, open dialogue on mental illness, addiction, prevention and the importance of the services we provide. I thank you all so much for your support.

Sincerely,

Roberta J. Cook
