Often, when I am asked to speak at a retreat or special event, I begin with asking the audience to bow their heads for a moment of silence. I request that we all think about the youth that have died at the hands of violence but especially those that lives have been so tormented that they have been driven to suicide. Robert Loupo is the Executive Director of Safe Schools South Florida, an organization that is committed to providing education to safeguard the lives of all youth, regardless of their race, gender, creed or sexual orientation.
