Please Join Us! - This Sunday, August 13 th, Pastor John shares a message entitled, Worth Fixing which is part 6 of the series Story Time. This message is inspired by the nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty.  We can all relate to Humpty Dumpty - we flirt with danger - with sin. Before you know it, we are falling out of control. The king's horses and the king's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again, but our story is different. Our King didn't send horses or men - He sent His Son - and that makes all the difference! Come this Sunday and discover the God who delights in fixing shattered and broken lives.

Begin Your Alpha Adventure!
Facilitate a Small Group
Host a small group and journey through the ALPHA study this fall and winter. Alpha is designed to help us understand the big issues of our Christian faith. The DVD teachings eliminate any concerns of leading the lessons. All you need is the willingness to facilitate the discussion questions, a TV/DVD player, and a comfort-able place to meet at home or at the church. Place this form in the offering plate, at the Welcome Center or contact LeAnn at leanng@altoonaumc.org by August 30.
The 5-week fall session begins October 1st & the 5-week winter session resumes the week of January 21st.
Third Grade Bible Presentation
Each year we present the incoming 3rd graders with a Bible. This year we will be presenting them on August 20th during all three services.  If you have a soon-to-be 3rd grader & you'd like them to receive a Bible, please email Brandon at brandonl@altoonaumc.org and let him know the child's full name & which service they'll be attending by this Sunday, August 13th.
