Huntington Beach Surf & Summer Classic

Del Mar, CA - June 6, 2014 - The Grand Prix Hunter Derby Series is picking up speed after a few months of qualifying classes! There are still quite a few qualifying opportunities coming up, with the next classes featured at the Huntington Beach Surf Classic (July 3-6) & Summer Classic (Aug 7-10). The $25,000 Grand Prix Hunter Derby Final, presented by Davlyn Farms, is open to all horses and riders. The Final will take place at the Del Mar International World Cup Week CSI-W3* Horse Show. All horses will jump a course of at least ten fences. Riders will have the option to compete at 3'6" or at 3'3". The course will have at least 2 option fences set at 2 to 3 inches above respective heights. The options in the 3'3" section will not exceed 3'5". The format of this class will be a two round hunter derby. This event is open to the top 35 horses from the qualifying classes.
