Holiday Giving Tree !
Now through December 20th

Give the Gift of Scouting....help local Scout members who may be in need of uniforms and uniform items.  T he Holiday Giving Tree program works on a donation basis. A Holiday Giving tree (similar to an Angel tree) will be set up at the Scout Shop with Holiday Giving cards of Scouts' first names and their uniform needs as well as other items they may want such as books, crafts, camping items, etc. Purchase the item(s) in the Scout Shop and the store staff will collect the items for each child.

Stop in the Scout Shop and pick a card from the tree and fulfill a Scout's Christmas wish! 

Prepare to ROC the Day!
November 27th

We're ROC'n it for Scouting & Exploring on November 27th...all day! ROC the Day is a unique day of giving. For 24-hours, the community will come together to have a significant impact on our community by supporting area nonprofit causes.  Invite your friends and family to be ROCstars with you.  There are no special talents required, no singing or dancing, just a desire to give our children the skills and resources to overcome challenges and be the best person they can be.  Get ready to ROC with us for our Scouts and Explorers! 




 
Wood Badge
 May 17-19, 2019 and June 8-10, 2019

Wood Badge integrates the best of modern leadership theory with the traditional strengths of the Scouting experience. Through activities, presentations, challenges, discussions, and audiovisual support, Wood Badge participants will be engaged in a unified approach to leadership that will give them the skill and confidence to lead well. It will be the most fun you will ever have in training, as a Scouter! Massawepie Arctic Challenge
Jan. 18-21, 2019

If you have never experienced Massawepie in the winter, then you need come visit January 18-21, 2019 (Martin Luther King Weekend)! Scouts will able to ice skate, paly broom ball, and ice fish all on Massawepie Lake! There are miles of trails to snow shoe on too! Scout and leaders will be staying Gannett lodge, and there will be meals provided as well. Included with you registration is a ticket to tour the Wild Center in Tupper, the Natural Museum of the Adirondacks! Don't be the last to register, as space is limited! 
 





Pinewood Derby Champ Camp
January 12; 10am-2pm

Want to learn tips, tricks and tools to make your Pinewood Derby car a champion racer? Whether you want the fastest car, or the best looking car, the Scout Shop has the know-how and products for you! Test your car on their practice track, ask questions, and more!

Job Opportunities

Assistant Camp Ranger:    Seneca Waterways Council is hiring for two part-time assistant rangers to join our ranger team at J. Warren Cutler Scout Reservation. If you are interested in this position please complete the application process through Indeed. If you know of someone that might be interested, please send them the link. We anticipate that interviews will take place in early November.  
 

Program Aides  for the City Scouting Outreach program  - part time position. The Council is seeking high energy, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individuals to help deliver the in-school Scouting program in the City of Rochester. Candidates should be available mostly between 2:30pm - 5:30pm. Morning and Saturday hours are available as well. Contract position through July 5, 2019.
