December 15th brings with it the deadline for both of DAAD's popular RISE programs which give students in Natural Science and Engineering Programs opportunities to complete internships in Germany; full details at the links below.

On the horizon: the Undergraduate Scholarship deadline (January 31st) which supports exceptional students doing a semester or year abroad at a German university.

Research Internships in Science & Engineering (RISE) Deadline: December 15th

Applications to DAAD's RISE program for summer research internship opportunities in Germany for Canadian undergraduates in Natural Sciences and Engineering must be submitted by December 15th.

Study in Germany's Residence Hall Finder

The Study in Germany web portal has developed a new online tool to help students heading to German universities inform themselves about residence hall options available to them in their new home. The database includes information on more than 1,000 dorms country wide including address, rental costs and details on how to apply for a room.
DAAD Canada Holiday Closure
DAAD Canada will close for the holidays from Thursday, December 21st and reopen after the break on Tuesday, January 2nd.

During this time, we will not be answering phone messages or email, however, full details on all DAAD programs is available online at: www.daad-canada.ca .

Electric Mobility Event, Toronto: Nov. 29

Join the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and its partners in Toronto on Wednesday, November 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for a presentation and panel discussion on the topic: "The future of electric mobility : economic impacts and opportunities" . This event will feature contributions from representatives of government, academia and stakeholder groups.
