While our activity schedule shifts into a lower gear with the end of the university term, May sees a number of program deadlines of note. These include the May 15th date for applications to the Research Stays for Faculty program along with a May 21st deadline for the DAAD's Press Tour 2018 on the theme of "The Future of Work". Full details are found below.

Bien que le trimestre d’hiver soit terminé et que notre calendrier d'activités ne soit plus aussi chargé, le mois de mai nous réserve encore un certains nombres de dates limites pour nos programmes. Parmi celles-ci, mentionnons la date du 15 mai pour les candidatures au programme Séjour de recherche pour les universitaires et les scientifiques ainsi que le 21 mai pour la tournée de presse 2018 du DAAD sur le thème « L'avenir du travail ». Deadline: May 15th
Research Stays for Faculty

DAAD's Research Stays program supports scholars working in all disciplines at Canadian institutions of higher education and who wish to pursue research at universities, libraries, archives, institutes or laboratories in Germany. Grants are issued for stays of between one and three months in length. The next deadline for this program is May 15, 2018 .

Le programme Séjour de recherche pour les universitaires et les scientifiques du DAAD soutient les chercheurs d’établissements canadiens d’études supérieures canadiens et qui souhaitent poursuivre des recherches dans des universités, des bibliothèques, des archives, des instituts ou des laboratoires en Allemagne. Les bourses sont octroyées pour des séjours de un à trois mois.

La prochaine date limite pour ce programme est le 15 mai 2018 .

Press Tour 2018: The Future of Work

Research in Germany and DAAD invite science journalists to apply to be part of a delegation taking part in a week-long press tour of Germany looking at the theme of the future of work.

The tour will run from October 21-26, 2018 with applications due May 21, 2018.

Tournée de presse 2018 : L'avenir du travail

Le DAAD et « Research in Germany » invitent les journalistes scientifiques à postuler pour faire partie d'une délégation qui participera à une tournée de presse d'une semaine en Allemagne sur le thème de l'avenir du travail.

La tournée se déroulera du 21 au 26 octobre 2018. La date limite pour déposer sa candidature est le 21 mai 2018.

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) individual Fellowships

MSCA Individual Fellowships support the mobility of experienced researchers (with PhD or at least four years of research experience). The Fellowships provide North American researchers an opportunity to conduct research at a university, research institute or company in Europe.

Bourses individuelles Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)

Les bourses individuelles MSCA soutiennent la mobilité de chercheurs expérimentés (titulaires d'un doctorat ou ayant au moins quatre années d'expérience en recherche). Les bourses offrent aux chercheurs nord-américains la possibilité de mener des recherches dans une université, un institut de recherche ou une enterprise en Europe.

The International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) supports 5-month internships at the German Bundestag, the country's federal parliament.

Applicants must hold Canadian citizenship, have a university degree and very good knowledge of the German language.

DAAD at Goethe-Institut Toronto

DAAD will be at the Goethe-Institut Toronto (100 University Avenue, 2nd Floor) between 5:30 and 7:30 pm on Tuesday, May 8th to consult on our suite of scholarship and grant programs or to discuss issues related to pursuing degree studies in Germany.
