Franco-German Fellowship Programme on Climate, Energy and Earth System Research

As part of their implementation of the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change, Germany and France have created this fellowship programme in the areas of climate, energy and earth system science to support collaborative research between international scholars and their German and French partners. The deadline for letters of interest is noon CET on October 13, 2017 . Details are available by clicking here

Research Careers in Germany: Information & Networking Event

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ottawa and the German Academic International Network (GAIN) invite Ottawa-area scholars to an event on programs supporting research in Germany which will take place at the Residence of the German Ambassador on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm . DAAD Canada in Quebec: October 16-19
DAAD Canada au Québec du 16 au 19 octobre 

Le DAAD Canada sera au Québec  dans la semaine du 16-19 octobre afin d’offrir des séances d’information aussi bien aux étudiants qu’aux membres du corps professoral qui souhaitent effectuer un séjour d’études ou de recherche en Allemagne. Notre tourn ée inclut des arrêts dans les universités suivantes : L’Université Laval, l' Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), McGill University et Polytechnique Montréal . DAAD Canada will be in the province of Quebec during the week of October 16th to give information sessions for faculty and postdoctoral researchers at a number of universities including Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) and Université Laval in Quebec City as well as McGill University and Polytechnique Montréal . Student Info Session, Montreal, Thurs. October 19th -
Séances d’information pour les étudiants à Montr é al le jeudi 19 octobre 

Deux séances d’information auront lieu au  Goethe-Institut de Montréal le jeudi 19 octobre pour les étudiants qui désirent effectuer un séjour d’études ou de recherche ou un stage en Allemagne. La séance en anglais se déroulera de 15 à 16 heures , alors que la séance en français se déroulera de 16 à 17 heures. Plus d'information ici .

DAAD Canada will be at Montreal's Goethe-Institut on Thursday, October 19th for two information sessions on DAAD's programs supporting students carrying out study, research or internships in Germany. The English session will run from 3:00 to 4:00 pm , while a French-language session will follow from 4:00 to 5:00 pm . More.

Bach Reformation Cantatas Concert

The DAAD Canada Alumni Association is pleased to be co-presenting a performance of Bach Reformation Cantatas on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Toronto's St. George's Lutheran Church  beginning at 7:00 pm .

This concert is part of events marking the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Further details including ticket information can be found here .
