On February 18th, several members of DAC Senior Citizen Program and DAC staff attended a public forum about the possibility of DARS Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services being outsourced to Centers of Independent Living.

Remembering Jerry J. Mikus, Sr
|
|
Jerry J. Mikus, Sr.
passed away on January 26, 2016 at the age of 92. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Margelene and grandson, Jason Davis. He attended Texas School for the Deaf (TSD). He built P-51 and B-17 planes during WWII. He was a Union Carpenter for over 50 years. Jerry was 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, belonged to North Texas Deaf Senior Citizens, SPJST and Arlington Bass Club. Jerry is survived by his 4 children, Jerry, Jr., Mike, Brian and Sherry Davis; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial will take place at Calvary Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to tsdfoundation.org.
