Rose Blair joined the Dallas Metropolitan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in August of 2015 as the Director. She currently manages 8 business advisors and one administrative assistant at the Bill J. Priest location. In addition, there are advisors who also work out of 3 satellite offices in Addison, Cedar Hill, and Garland. Her demonstrated leadership and management offers the SBDC a unique blend of education, event planning and fundraising, small business, state government, and financial services. Her professional career has placed her in fast paced, innovative, diverse, and changing environments. She has held leadership positions with the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, Dallas County Community College District, and Texas State Senator Royce West, Howland PR, Inc.
As a former small business owner of an event planning company, she has great passion for entrepreneurship. Rose has also worked for major organizations such as the American Heart Association and the MGM Grand Hotel and Resort, and Capital One Bank. She earned a bachelor's degree in Health Education and a master's degree in Business Administration from Texas Women's University.
