DC Housing Market Continues to Rise

We're continuing to see the trend of homes selling quickly and for higher prices in Washington, DC. According to a recent article in the Washington Business Journal, homes in DC stay on the market for an average of less than two months and listing inventory is down 38% from last year!

Sold

RBI's (Real Estate Business Intelligence) most recent monthly report shows the median sales price is up by nearly 13% from last year to $449,000.

Brookland House and Garden Tour!

The Greater Brookland Garden Club will be hosting it's 12th annual House and Garden Tour on Sunday, June 3rd from 12-5 PM. This is a great opportunity to tour some of DC's most architecturally diverse homes and impressive gardens and get some good ideas for your own renovation and landscaping projects.

Home Tool Kit!

We recently invested in several useful household tools that seem to only be needed a few times a year. We have started a tool library of sorts and are inviting our friends, supporters and past clients free use of these helpful household tools. Below is a list of what we have available. Contact us for more information and to make a reservation.

Extendable ladder: Great for gutter cleaning, exterior painting, and roof work.

Dry Vac: Washer flooded-yikes! Utility sink overflowed-ouch! Come by and pick up our dry vac to help with clean up.

Power Washer: Best used clean to decks and siding. Take some time to read about the best pressure, which is critical for optimal use.

Squeegees: How often do we really make the effort to get all our windows clean? Not enough to own all the squeegees with extensions. You'll have to provide the glass cleaner, but come on by and borrow our window washing kit.

Industrial Broom: Ideal for those big jobs when the ordinary household broom would take way too much time.

Bolt Cutters: Useful for cutting chain link fences, average sized padlocks, wire and other stubborn materials. Not to be used for anything electrical!

Seed Spreader: Perfect for all your lawn spruce ups! Good for seeds, fertilizer and other lawn foods.

Rakes: Not enough at your house and you've enlisted some help? Come borrow 1 or 2 of ours and put your helpers to work!
