NONPROFIT NUGGETS

Most people know that the first ten amendments of the Constitution of the United States makes up the Bill of Rights. But, did you know that there is a Donor Bill of Rights for philanthropists?

Developed by the  Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), and Council for Advancement and Support of Education  (CASE), and adopted in November 1993, the Donor Bill of Rights states that " PHILANTHROPY is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To ensure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the non-for-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights....."(to read the Donor Bill of Rights, click here).

DCCF Congratulates the Delaware County Children's Advocacy Center (DCCAC) for receiving full accreditation from the National Children's Alliance.

DCCAC is a program of the Family Support Line, which has been a recipient of grants from DCCF's Hope for Children's Fund.
