for our Scholarship to the Florida PTA Convention and Leadership
at Innisbrook in July!

Once you've had your Election for next year's Executive Board Officers - click on the logo above on Florida PTA's website to register your new officers.
  
DCCPTA will also be sending a Constant Contact email to THIS YEAR'S Presidents asking for you to send us the name and email of your President and Treasurer for next year.

We will have our required DCCPTA President and Treasurer Training sessions in June, July and August. Sign up at a date and time convenient for you!

ALL Training sessions will take place in the Cline Auditorium of the DCPS School Board Building.

Transition Checklist

DCCPTA has developed a checklist for your PTA to use to smooth the transition from this year's Board to next year's.

Many PTAs have a "Hand-Off Meeting" at the end of the year so that procedure books and verbal hints and tips can be transferred. It doesn't take long and your new officers and chair people will be immensely grateful!

DCPS Celebration of the Arts

Join DCPS families from all over town at the first annual Celebration of the Arts this Wednesday, May 18th at 7 pm at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. 

Lobby doors will open at 6 pm for a special art exhibit, and theater doors will open at 6:30 pm. 

Over 450 visual and performing arts students from our elementary, middle, and high schools will be featured at this special event. The entire community is invited and tickets are available at Ticketmaster locations or at the door for only $15. 

Gently used instruments will also be collected for our Instruments for Change campaign.

ESE Parent Survey
 
Every year, the Florida Department of Education surveys the parents of students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP). (Students in the gifted program are not included in this survey unless they have an IEP for another special need.)

The last day to complete the survey is May 31.

You can complete the survey HERE, or request a paper copy from your school. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.


  The Teacher Supply Depot needs volunteers YEAR 'ROUND!
  High School students are welcome all summer long -- except Memorial Day and July 4th.
 Students who need creative hours for the IB program are also welcome.    
Please wear comfortable work clothes that could get dirty (we may be painting).  
I will need an emergency contact phone number for anyone
under 18 who is not accompanied by an adult.
