Review & Final Exam Schedule

Wednesday, May 23

High School Review Day -- 8:00-11:25am

Thursday, May 24

8:00-9:30 -- English Final
10:00-11:30 -- Science Final

Friday, May 25

8:00-9:30 -- History Final
10:00-11:30 -- Mathematics Final

Please note school policy on final exams:

Students absent with 6 or more unexcused absences in a class will not be allowed to exempt the final exam in that class.
All students must take semester exams, with the exception of students who have at least a 90 average in the course based on the semester average and who have 5 or fewer unexcused absences during the semester.
During exam times, all students taking the exam must stay for 1 full hour of exam time; if they have completed the exam at the end of the first full hour, they may leave quietly.
Students who leave must go to the lobby or clear the building.
Exam days are school days -- school uniforms must be worn.
A $20.00 fee will be assessed for makeup exams (with all fees going to the proctoring teacher to compensate for his/her time).
Students will not be allowed into the exam room after 5 minutes from the beginning of the exam time.
The student will be considered absent and will need to plan the missed exam as a makeup
Students will not be allowed to take exams early due to travel or vacation plans, due to test security reasons. Students missing such exams may receive a zero for the exam grade.

Dominion Student Receives National Honor
May 9, 2012

ATLANTA, GA - The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) announced that DCS student A.J. Wilson has been selected for membership. The Society recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved academic excellence.

Membership in NSHSS entitles qualified students to enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, free events, member-only resources, publications and participation in programs offered by educational partners.

Congratulations to A.J. for this honor and recognition.

Dominion Christian Schools' Summer Academy...

Dominion is offering credit recovery and advancement courses in Mathematics and Science. Credit recovery and advancement students will be required to attend four days per week in a classroom setting with their instructor.

Courses Offered

Mathematics: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Algebra 3, Advanced Mathematics (pre-Calculus)
Science: Biology & Chemistry

The camps will be held at Georgia Tech (June 16-17) and Georgia State (June 29-30).
