Backpacking

Whether you're new to Dominion or a returning student, please join us for a great weekend in South Carolina!
The Chattooga River is one of the most primitive free-flowing rivers in the southeast. Only 1.6 miles of this trail directly follow the river; the rest passes through mixed evergreen-deciduous forest as it winds along Lion Mountain crossing over multiple creeks and streams.
We'll camp along the river at a great place for swimming and enjoying the views and sounds of this wild river.

Notes:
- If you do not have everything on the list, please ask...the outdoor program has extra sleeping bags, tents, backpacks, ground pads, etc.
- The weather will be warm ... pack light! Hammocks are recommended.
- We will be leaving Friday morning at 9 am and return Saturday late afternoon.
- Dads & Moms are welcome!

Most trips are $85 (backpacking trips are less). This cost includes the activities, transportation, food, and fun. Additional $$ needed for food on way up and way back (about $20)
