Fort Wayne's Downtown Improvement District will continue to operate for another 10 years! The City Council on Tuesday approved a resolution allowing the Economic Improvement District for Downtown Fort Wayne to continue to operate.

TekVenture will present the fifth annual Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire this August. It will fill Headwaters Park with artwork, inventions, and contraptions on August 8 and 9.

Riverfront News
$8 Million Construction Budget



A construction budget of $8 million has been set for a proposed riverfront promenade, and the city has begun the search for the firm that will design it. To create the final construction documents, the consultant team will research and assess the plans developed by SWA Group, the consultants that created the final vision

Creatures from McNett's Wolfbat woodblock series have been exhibited around the world, and three-dimensional versions have even been featured in New Orleans parades and Barney's department store windows in New York City.

Headwaters Park


BAALS is a multi-genre music festival, with a focus on electronic dance music. The event is strategically located in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana and every year the donates $5,000 to a local charity.

Don't miss the Junior Achievement Riverside Wine & Beer Festival. Bring your camp chair, bring a blanket or just bring a few coworkers after work to enjoy entertainment, unlimited samplings, or just a bottle of vino or brew in the park. Over 60 specialty Indiana wines and craft brews will be on site.

A Citywide Competition

The Fort Wayne Adventure Games are an exciting citywide competition where teams of two race on bicycles throughout Fort Wayne to top secret locations. However, the checkpoints will only be revealed minutes before the start of the race. Think of it as if the Color Vibe 5k, Spartan Race, Inflatable 5k came together for one epic event!

There is a very special running event on July 30th at Pedal City. Registration starts at 5:30pm. Run begins at 6:00 pm. It is going to be a Blast! This is in partnership with YLNI, City of Fort Wayne, and Saucony to put on this very special event. It is free to the public! The run will be a 5k, 3.1 miles through West Central neighborhood, Swinney Park and finish at Pedal City.
