Programs
We are People of the Book, and  Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury is proud to host a
Three-Part Series to study the sacred texts that emanated from Isaac and Ismael, the children of Abraham.

Part I: Please join us on Sunday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, when Helen White, a diocesan leader for Biblical studies, joins us for a Bible "romp" focused on the Torah and Hebrew texts. This will be a hands-on session where we will physically locate and "romp" from chapter to chapter, learning about the background of the scripture and the historical time periods in which certain books were written. Bring your own Bible or use one of ours.

Part II: Helen White will also lead us on the following Sunday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, on an outrageous romp through the Christian testament. Helen is a strong and dynamic presenter who says, "Working with the [texts] all these years has been the single most transformative experience of my life." Don't miss Helen's fascinating approach to Biblical literacy, interpretation, and understanding.

Part III: On Sunday, October 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, parishioner and Renaissance man, Will Rivinus, will host the third session of the series, Introduction to the Koran 101.

Please join us for this carefully researched presentation on the Koran. Will Rivinus has previously led Trinity programs on "God" and "The History of the Bible."

Attention, Good Samaritans!  St. Mark's, Frankford needs your help in filling these  "Blessings Bags" for distribution to those in need. Please help us make these empty bags overflow with kindness, as well as: bottled water, soap, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, individually wrapped 'wet ones', individual snacks, combs, pocket packs of tissues, tampons, sanitary napkins and hand sanitizer.

When a person is faced with housing problems, with troubles and issues that are overwhelming and with nowhere to go...nowhere to turn...they feel lost, misplaced and forgotten. By providing this little bit of comfort, we can make someone feel better. With one little bag, we can offer a glimmer of hope...and joy...and peace.

Donations may be dropped off at St. Mark's, Frankford (4442 Frankford Ave., 19124), Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pickups can be arranged. Call Blair Jordan 267-368-0043/Luz Miranda 267-356-3992 or St. Mark's: 215-535-0635.

The Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont - First Friday Observances

As is our Parish custom, we will, this Friday as every First Friday of the month, mark the day with special observances of devotion to our Lord, really present in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, and, in keeping with ancient custom, offer a guided meditation to the "theme of the month" which in October is the Holy Rosary. This month we will offer a how-to orientation to the practice of praying the Rosary along with some historical comment on the practice - especially from an Anglican perspective.

Saturday Vigil Mass
And will continue at least through the calendar year as we see whether a Sunday service on Saturday will be helpful to busy people in a busy world. This Saturday, bring your animals and we will bless them, in commemoration of Saint Francis, after mass. The church is located at
1116 E. Lancaster Avenue, Rosemont, PA 19010. Call: 610-525-7070.

Clergy

Clergy
Priest-in-Charge - St. Stephen's, Norwood . St. Stephen's is a transformational church that celebrates the liturgy in a relaxed and casual style. We are an inclusive community that values and fosters individual incremental growth into the potential that God has planned for us.

The weekly message/sermon is an integral part of who we are in Christ and recharges our spiritual vitality inspiring us to actions we can practice and take with us into the communities we serve.  Development of lay leadership is fundamental to our identity.

Our Priest-in-Charge can provide leadership in identifying and mediating potential differences that could impact our sense of well being and obstruct the achievement of our mission. We are looking for someone to provide a weekly message and attitude that will promote a call to action for our very diverse congregation and inspire the parish to fulfill the aspirations of our mission prayer:  For the communities we serve give us generous hearts, oh Lord, that our inviting and including may create the spiritual home so many are looking for. Let us be that family of worship and mission where all can grow spiritually and serve joyfully in Christ's name. Amen.

The Application Process: All interested applicants can apply to the Pennsylvania diocese or send your resume and salary requirements to [email protected] . We are accepting applications until November 20, 2017.
