Exclusive DNA offer
Fellow Downtowners,

It's the 4th of July weekend and downtown will be buzzing with events! One of the most exciting is the Riverfront Fireworks Spectacular Monday evening. The event is scheduled to start at  6pm with performances from the band Fifth Kind, while the actual time for fireworks is  9:15pm. I look forward to seeing you all there!

Also earlier this month we learned that there will soon be an additional 1,200 people joining our downtown family! ServiceMaster will be relocating their headquarters to Peabody Place early next year, transforming the most recognizable vacant building downtown into a state-of-the-art facility. This was certainly great news for our community as additional development continues to keep our downtown vibrant and the heart of our city. We are looking forward to adding ServiceMaster and their employees to our DNA family soon!

I hope you have a Happy 4th and remember to invite your neighbors to our next DNA meeting on  July 26th  at Spindini at  6pm .

Take Care,
Mickell Lowery
An interview with Deni and Patrick Reilly, owners of The Majestic Grille, celebrating 10 years in business Downtown

Main Street's The Majestic Grille recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of operation with a red-carpet bash that included family and friends from around the world and around the corner. And while 10 years of successful operation anywhere is certainly something to celebrate, for the restaurant's owners, Deni and Patrick Reilly, the evening was also an opportunity to commemorate a decade of consistency and attention to detail, of fun and friendships, and of Memphis community camaraderie - all of which comes under the mantra of "Keeping It Majestic."

President Ron Garrison speaks to South Main

It's been just over two years since the steel-wheeled trolleys stopped running down Main Street. Talk to local business owners in the area and they will tell you that things haven't been the same since. Recently, the South Main Association invited Ron Garrison, President of MATA, to speak to downtowners about progress with the trolleys. According to Garrison, 11 trolleys are in the works, and the first two that will serve Main Street are 95% complete.

Terence Patterson is our June speaker

This week DNA members heard from the new President of the Downtown Memphis Commission, Terence Patterson, at the historic Cossitt Library.  Patterson shared with the DNA his inspiring vision for Downtown, including keeping up with population growth, better connecting the various neighborhoods, and attracting young creative types Downtown. He highlighted ServiceMaster, Beale Street Bucks, and more!
ServiceMaster moving into Peabody Place

Memphis is still giddy from the big announcement this month - ServiceMaster will relocate to the Peabody Place by the end of 2017. We've seen lots of articles about the deal, but here are 5 things to know about the move.
