Merger Celebration THIS SATURDAY!

Peanut butter and jelly... Elsa and Anna... art and innovation. What do these have in common?

They go great together!

Now you can add the Children's Museum of Winston-Salem and SciWorks to that list!

Celebrate the official merger of these institutions with a progressive party! The fun starts at the Children's Museum where, from 10 am - 1 pm, you can make a commemorative button, blow bubbles, bounce in a bouncehouse, meet Bolt from the Winston-Salem Dash, and play in the Museum exhibits. There are also a few remaining tickets for Saturday's Peppercorn Theatre performances of Flor to Somewhere!

continues from 1-4 pm at SciWorks, where you'll enjoy science demonstrations and experiments, face-painting, a dino-bouncehouse, museum exploration, and a chance to meet Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion, as well as Elsa and Anna.

Door prizes, including one-year Family Memberships, tickets to October's Truck-and-Treat, and a $50 SciShop gift certificate, will be given away at both locations! All activities are included with admission and free for Members.

Pack a picnic and join us for a summer tradition!

Explore the museum, outdoor parks, planetarium, and Animal Secrets ex hibit from 4 - 8 pm for only $3 per person. Members are FREE!

Staff from the Winston-Salem Open will be at SciWorks from 4 to 6 pm with Bo (the tournament mascot), as well as their short court tennis game, and information about the tournament.

Now's your chance to to leave work behind and take time to play! The Children's Museum of Winston-Salem is hosting an adults-only takeover event on Saturday, July 23 from 6 to 9 pm. Get in touch with your inner child and roam through the museum while enjoying cold beer and listening to the Blue-Eyed Bettys, a bluegrass/folk band out of New York City.

This is the third event in the Museum's Storybook Shindig series for ages 21 & up. Admission is $15 and includes three drink tickets, fun crafts, and more! Food will be available for purchase from Camel City Grill. Drinks provided by Hoots Roller Bar & Beer Co., Foothills Brewing, and Carolina's Vineyards and Hops!

It's the Last Weekend for Peppercorn Theatre's Flor to Somewhere

Peppercorn Theatre at the Children's Museum of Winston-Salem showcases emerging professional artists and produces original theatre works to introduce live performance art to the children and families of Winston-Salem and the surrounding communities.

July's performance is Flor to Somewhere. Have you ever dreamed of flying your own rocket ship? Well, Flor can, but there's one thing stopping her. Before she can find out what it takes to explore the galaxy, she has to find a home here in her new town, Winston-Salem. Hailing from Mexico City and equipped with her invisible rocket ship, she embarks on an adventure through time and space. Get ready to blast off and join us in Flor's search for somewhere.
