DYPDOORWAYS Young Professionals

Friends In Deed has new leadership. Under the watchful eye of Ryan Ackerman, Mark Halastik, Lennox Mark, and Lauren Treat, we are excited to announce the evolution of the Friends in Deed to the DOORWAYS Young Professionals (DYP). DYP is a volunteer corps of emerging civic leaders dedicated to the ongoing success of DOORWAYS. Young Professionals will GIVE, SERVE and LEAD to improve the quality of life and health outcome for people affected by HIV/AIDS.
DYP members will commit in the following ways: investing financially in the mission of DOORWAYS; building awareness in their individual spheres of influence; serve as social media ambassadors, expanding DOORWAYS' network of friends and supporters and provide volunteer initiatives. Membership dues is only $10 or more a month or $120 or more a year. For additional information on member benefits or to sign up, please click here.

For the third year in a row the Home Builder's Association of St. Louis has supported the mission and work of DOORWAYS. In the past they have helped put a new roof and security surveillance cameras up at our family residential program. This year, HBA helped provide security lighting as a way to help our families feel safe.

AlternativeSpringBreakAlternative Spring Break Volunteers

When most people think of spring break, they picture beaches, parties and self-indulgence. Over the last decade, spring break has been redefined to a time for students to give back and perform community service. DOORWAYS has benefited greatly from this new definition.
Throughout March three different schools, The University of Michigan, Longwood University and Northwestern University have traveled to St. Louis with one purpose: to help DOORWAYS.
These students spend countless hours painting rooms, organizing cabinets, raking leaves, staining fences and spending time with residents. Upon the completion of their trip, the students leave worn-out, but most importantly, with a passion for our mission.
DOORWAYS would like to recognize the hard work each of these students perform while here. For when they return to campus, they will remember the smiles of our residents, the passion of our staff and the legacy they left in St. Louis.
