APR 20: FILL OUT THE SFUSD SURVEY
SFUSD Survey Due April 20th:
Now that we've finished our "in-house" survey... We have the SFUSD Family Survey to complete. Please find it here.

It is is very important for someone from each family to complete this survey!

More details:
  • The Culture and Climate Survey is part of SFUSD's accountability system and is one metric used to evaluate our school.
  • Parents with multiple children at Miraloma should fill out one survey for each child. If you have children in another SFUSD school, you should fill out a survey at that school as well.
  • It is very important that we get as many of our families to respond as possible so that we have data that truly represents the whole school and not just a few people. Everyone's voice is important!
  • The survey is available online and is translated into Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Arabic.
  • The survey will not be used in staff or teacher evaluations.
  • This survey will be anonymous. We will track how many families have completed the survey, but we will not know what any individual says on any question.
Thank you to everyone for helping to promote survey completion!

APRIL & MAY: SMARTER BALANCED ASSESSMENTS
Testing for 3rd, 4th & 5th grades through the Smarter Balanced Assessments Consortium (SBAC) will take place from late April - late May. Please make sure 3rd - 5th graders are in school during this period of time. Testing schedules are different for every class, but students will generally test for about 45-60 minutes at a time, 1 to 4 days a week for that five-week period. I have sent a letter to 3rd-5th grade families with more details, but as always, please let me know if you have any questions.

HELP NEIGHBORHOOD EMERGENCY-RESPONSE UNIT

A NOTE ABOUT THE MIRALOMA COMMUNITY NERT PROGRAM:

Get Involved with the Participatory Budget Process:

Many of you attended the Neighborfest block party next to the school last Fall. It was a lot of fun and we all learned a lot about being prepared for a disaster. Most of the gear used at the event was purchased with funds secured in the City's participatory budget process. The neighborhood is once again applying for funds to secure a trailer to store that gear and to make it easier to move around. Please consider supporting their efforts by voting in the participatory budgeting process. This equipment will help our school after a disaster!

  • What:  Miraloma Park's Mobile Emergency-Response Unit
  • When: Voting goes from April 1st - April 14th
  • How: Go online to sfpbd.sfgov.org/district/7/vote or vote in-person at the West Portal and Ingleside Libraries as well as at City Hall, Room 273
  • Who: You must be a resident of District 7
