After the run, we will raffle free Trinity River Levee Run 5K and 10K entries and more stuff at LUCK!

Make sure you bring cash or credit card to eat, drink, and hang out with us at LUCK afterwards!

This social run is free, but please register so we can get a good headcount for the venue (and get the legal stuff out of the way ahead of time).

Becoming a Better Runner in 2015
By DRC Training Director Vishal Patel

With a fresh New Year, it is time to start planning a more successful 2015. In every monthly newsletter, you will find an annual training plan to ensure running growth over the next 12 months. Each month, we will assign a new task to learn. Carry that task with you the rest of the year and, before you know it, you will break through your glass ceiling of potential.

If you are not receiving this newsletter directly from us in your mailbox every month, you may wish to subscribe to our mailing list so you don't miss a single issue.

Happy New Year 2015
Finding Balance -- January
By DRC Training Director Vishal Patel

Unless you are a professional runner, it is likely that your running will often times be shared with other life commitments (family, work, community, etc.) Find the balance that running can give you to make you a better YOU. Avoid getting so caught up in your running goals that the other parts of your life suffer.

Start the year off with a good fitness benchmark to gauge your current fitness level. You cannot get to where you want if you do not know where you are. A good way to do this is by signing up for a 5K (or other relevant distance race) or simply timing yourself on a familiar running route.
