Register online by 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1st. Like all DRC club races, this race is free for members. Others pay only $10 each.
We accept all major credit cards bearing one of these logos.
We will have a Kids 1K after most parents finish the race. Register your kids onsite at the volunteer check-in table. You must make your own arrangements for someone to watch your kids while you race.

The race starts at Winfrey Point with this schedule:

6:00 a.m. - Volunteers arrive

6:30 - Onsite registration, bib pick-up, club merchandise, DRC Half & 5K, and New Member Corner tables OPEN

7:30 - Race registration CLOSES. We must have your registration at this time to get timed results.

8:00 - 5K and 15K races START

9:00 - 5K Awards

9:30-ish - Kids' 1K (when most parents have finished racing)

10:15 - 15K Awards

10:45 - Breakdown and cleanup

We will present 15K and 5K awards three deep for overall, masters, Athena (women > 155 lb), Clydesdale (men > 195 lb), and age divisions from 0 to 14 and in five year increments thereafter.

You may identify as Athena or Clydesdale only during race registration. This makes you ineligible for an age group award.

Race results will post live as chipped participants cross the finish line. Please refresh your browser to view new results.

Volunteer for The Loop 15K/5K
Saturday, October 4, 2014 [add to calendar]

We have tasks for those who plan to run and for those who can help out during the race. If you are willing to volunteer multiple days, please note your availability in the comments section when you register to volunteer.

Your race volunteer hours count towards the DRC Championship Series.

DRC is a 100% volunteer organization so we appreciate everyone who donates their time to make this race a reality!

Race Day Parking
Saturday, October 4, 2014

We have several parking options near Winfrey Point for those who arrive early (usually our dedicated volunteers). In most cases, you may park along the roads inside the park. However, you must obey parking restrictions and avoid hindering traffic.

Directions:

  • From the intersection of Buckner Boulevard and Garland Road, go south on Garland Road for 0.6 miles
  • Take a right on Emerald Isle Drive (by Barbec's Restaurant) and go about 0.5 miles
  • Turn left on Winfrey Point Drive at the stop sign, just past the ball fields on your left.

Tips:

  • The house at the top of the hill at Winfrey Point is where we will hold onsite registration, merchandise sales, and the awards ceremony
  • The race starts/finishes down the hill on the lake trail
  • Arrive early for better parking
  • There is limited parking at Winfrey Point and along Emerald Isle
  • Please do not park at the shopping center on Garland Road
  • Please do park at the DRC Clubhouse (1130 Beachview) and carpool or walk to the race
