Homecoming & 60th anniversary celebration

It was a time to revel in the Falcon spirit as Daytona State alumni, friends and students flocked to the Daytona Beach Campus last November for the college's first homecoming festival in decades. This year's homecoming 4-day extravaganza (Oct. 18-21) features repeat activities like the Mr. & Ms. DSC pageant, plus a Tailgate Party with games including a Corn Hole Tournament, food and more.  >>>
Mr. & Ms. DSC Pageant - 10.18.17

Presented by the DSC Student Government Association, the theme for this year's Mr. & Ms. DSC pageant is Old Fashioned Sock Hop! Prospective contestants should submit their applications to SGA; auditions are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 28, 1-5 p.m. in the Lenholt Student Center (bldg. 150), room 154. Rehearsals will be held, Oct. 16 and Oct. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m.  >>>

Club Wars/Falcon Fitness Day - 10.19.17 

DSC students (and alumni) are encouraged to participate in the club wars/fitness day event that will pitch student clubs against each other in the spirit of Falcon-ness. Top-off your day with a women's volleyball home game .  >>>

All things cultural - 10.20.17

Immerse yourself in a wide range of cultural activities starting with a symposium embracing the state of Florida and its humanities, plus DSC's photography program will welcome back its distinguished alumni for professional development workshops and networking. A formal grand opening and renaming event for the Goddard Center for Music and Dance rounds out the day along with an outdoor movie experience.   >>>

Homecoming home stretch - 10.21.17

Join us for an early morning walk/run for the 2nd annual homecoming 5K, followed by the Car, Truck & Bike Show. Other Saturday morning highlights include a Culinary Boot Camp with Chef MagoulasFamily Day at the Southeast Museum of Photography as well as alumni softball and baseball games. The "Journey to the Tailgate" helps escort visitors to the soccer stadium for the Tailgate Party proceeded by two home soccer games. >>>
Soccer stadium

Soccer fans are sure to be thrilled with the new soccer stadium, plus all that it brings to the college and community. A formal dedication event is planned for Oct. 4 (watch this space). The inaugural home game will be played by the DSC women's soccer team against Middle Georgia State University - Saturday, Aug. 12, kick-off at 7 p.m. #GoFalcons View August schedule >>>
Get in the game!

This fall, students in the Broadcast Television Production program will gain live DSC sports broadcasting experience when select home games are televised on WDSC-TV.  Students will get a leg up on one of Team Volusia's top target industries for the region - film and video production. The work experience they'll earn with WDSC-TV is a huge competitive advantage. Classes start 8.28.17, learn more today:

Costa Magoulas, DSC alum and dean of the  College of Hospitality and Culinary Management at Daytona State College , was awarded the  America Culinary Federation's (ACF)  Chef Educator of the Year Award at the organization's national convention this month in Orlando.  >>>
