Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Jean Hickman
With a strong background in vocal jazz, Dr. Jean Hickman was appointed
associate professor of Choral/Vocal Music at Daytona State College in
fall 2017. Since then, she has recruited talented singers to develop the choral program and looks forward to sharing her passion for music during the upcoming Orchestra & Choral Concert that's scheduled for Thursday, April 5, 7:30 p.m. at DSC's News-Journal Center. Tickets are free to DSC students as well as Volusia and Flagler K-12 students; all others $8 per person or $15 for two, general seating. Purchase tickets online.

Alumni & Friends has teamed up with the DSC Library and Bookstore to start a Book Club with an inaugural meeting that's scheduled for
Thursday, April 26, 4-5 p.m.
, in the Karl Learning Resources Center, room 135C, located on the college's Daytona Beach Campus.
The first book selection is Stephen King's 11/22/63 which is available for purchase from the Bookstore.
The Book Club is open to all DSC alumni, students, faculty and staff.
