Greetings DVIA Families!

A Few Words From Our Principal

Hello Everyone!

I am looking forward to the Talent Show this week and hope your family will be there as well!  We have kiddos with amazing talents of all kinds and thanks to the Glasser Family, this year's Talent Show will truly embody the spirit of DVIA by providing venues for all types of talents and ways to show those!  Thank you to everyone participating and a huge thanks to F.A.N. and Laura, John and Jacob Glasser!

I'd also like to personally invite you to attend the workshop Understanding your Adolescent Child, which will take place this coming Wednesday from 12:30-2:00.  Our own DVIA parent, Karen D'Emilia, will be sharing her expertise as a pediatric nurse.  Whether you have adolescents in your home currently (or adults who act like adolescents...does that counts too?) or young children who will someday become adolescents, this workshop is for all of us!  Thank you for attending and thank you to Karen!
Have a great week!

This month's Habits of Heart and Mind focus is Collaboration!

At DVIA, we define collaboration as the ability to work with others, provide support, and accept that someone else may have an idea that better serves the project or group. Effective collaboration requires compromise, a listening ear, communicating ideas effectively, and accepting constructive criticism.

Due to the project-based nature of our program, we emphasize the skills necessary to be effective collaborators throughout the year, but we are asking families to spend extra time working on this habit during family time, on play dates, and during homeschooling time throughout this month. Please email me pictures of your students demonstrating what collaboration means to them by Friday, March 14th.

As always, thank you for your continued support in collaborating with us (pun intended) to help our kids grow in these valuable Habits of Heart and Mind.

It's here! This week is our DVIA Talent Show, Art Walk, & Exploration!

Can you help out at the event?
We only  have 2 hours to set up for the Talent Show! We need volunteers to help decorate, hang lights, set up the bake sale and more! Please join us from 3 pm to 5 pm. Students, staff, and families are welcome to help! Email Laura Glasser with questions.  Please note, if you are bringing bake sale items, make sure they are "single serving" sizes that are easy to distribute.  Thank you!

Bring a picnic or purchase pizza and baked goods in support of DVIA to enjoy while you watch the show! If you plan on having pizza, please RSVP here
so that  we have an estimate of how much pizza we need to purchase.
