Greetings DVIA Families!
A Few Words From Our Principal
Hello everyone!
Well, it's June already. Hard to believe we are entering the final two weeks of the year! There's still so much going on...
8th grade graduation is coming up! See Tyler's blurb below.
I will send out a staffing update as soon as positions are officially filled and we have a complete team. We have some excellent candidates to choose from!
On a less exciting but necessary note, I'd like to ask that all families check their kiddos for lice. While we haven't had a large-scale outbreak, unfortunately, a few cases here and there are going around and I want to encourage you to check early and often. We recommend that all families examine their kiddos particularly at the nape of the neck and around the ears, looking for tiny light brown/gray eggs (nits) attached to the hair itself. Adult and baby lice are hard to find/see, so it is recommended that you make a weekly routine of combing through your child's hair with a lice comb in order to find them before they start laying eggs. Once your child starts itching, a full infestation has usually occurred and it has likely spread to others. Thank you for your continued diligence with this pesky problem!
Enjoy your week!
