As promised, we are sending daily updates regarding system performance and support. We will continue this communication as long as there is news to share.
November 1 Report. Even with deadline extensions from several colleges, November 1 proved to be the high-volume submission period we anticipated. Here are submission numbers through Sunday, November 3, along with percentage increases from one year ago on the same date:
- Total Applications: 740,241 (+20%)
- Unique Applicants: 289,391 (+23%)
- Total School Forms: 3,079,625 (+23%)
As context for understanding the overall performance of the system, these statistics are vitally important. At the same time, we recognize that they tell only part of the story. While tens of thousands of applicants and recommenders submitted without any problems at all, others needed significant assistance from our support team. To those of you in this category, we thank you for your patience and persistence as we worked to help you.
For those of you who are still having difficulties: we are fully committed to guiding each applicant and recommender to a successful submission. If you or one of your students needs assistance, please contact us directly through the Recommender Help Center. (Students should go through the Applicant Help Center.) All of the unresolved known issues are ones that we can fix, but we need to know that they need to be fixed in your account.
