More Success for Art in the Blood!
We are thrilled that Bonnie MacBird's book, Art in the Blood: A Sherlock Holmes Adventure (HarperCollins UK, September 10th, 2015), in addition to the other seven languages already contracted, will now be translated into Czech after a four way auction.  Since The Bookseller'
article at the end of February, great interest has been shown in  Bonnie's Art in the Blood by publishers all over the world.
Otto Penzler, editor of mystery fiction and proprietor of The Mysterious Bookshop in New York, said: "In a world with more than its share of Sherlock Holmes pastiches, it is rare for one to soar above the rest, but Bonnie MacBird's Art in the Blood achieves this singular feat and deserves a tip of the deerstalker."  Congratulations, Bonnie, for your continuing success!

Carey Harrison to be e-Published!
We are delighted to announce that we have sold Carey Harrison's To Liskeard Quartet to Endeavour Press, a digital UK publisher. The four books, originally published by William Heinemann, explore the life and adventures of one or more members of an extended family, British and, latterly, German, whose lives lead them in different directions, but who ultimately re-unite in the Cornish town of Liskeard.
5 Ways to Get Out of a Writing Rut
  1. Identify your problem. Is there a particular scene that is giving you problems? Is your plot not working? Write out your goals and see if you are meeting them.
  2. Read it again. Maybe you just need to fall in love with your idea all over again. Go back to the beginning and remember why you are writing this book.
  3. Write in a different location or a different time. Maybe you just need a fresh perspective.
  4. Take a break- sometimes the best thing you can do for your writing is to walk away. Go to the gym. Play with the dog. Cook a fabulous meal. Have a ten minute dance party.
  5. Talk it over with a writer friend. Sometimes saying the words out loud may spark creativity and help you get back on track.
