New Citizenship Corner at Redmond Library
|
The Redmond Library now has a Citizenship Corner, a resource designed by the department of U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services to raise awareness about the naturalization process. Here residents and immigrants can find the information and resources they need to start the path toward becoming a U.S. citizen. It includes "toolkits" that contain civics flash cards, civics lessons, the Declaration of Independence, and information about the citizenship test and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. The Citizenship Corner is only in Redmond, but materials can be put on hold at and delivered to any of our other locations.

Holiday & Weather-related Closures
|
All Deschutes Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 16, for the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. Online digital resources, like eBooks and streaming movies and music, will still be accessible via our website.
The series of storms hitting Central Oregon may result in a library closure; we strive to remain open until it's no longer safe to have staff or customers on the roads. Our website and Facebook page provide immediate updates if any closures are happening. Be sure to check our web calendar for up-to-the-minute information on any program cancellations.
