Nikki
Nikki and her sisters came to us with a raging case of parvo. It was a very stressful two weeks, but the pups pulled through
Jeffrey, Alexico and Clooney
The three mangiest dogs we had ever seen. Look at these happy, furry dogs (OK, Alexico IS better now). It's no wonder Ber Mar has come to be known as the Mange Docs.

Ilene, Gnocchi and Nena
All these gals were born with leg deformities which would have caused most people to despair.

It's never easy making decisions about big dogs with deformed limbs. But the Ber Mar staff make the decisions we do make so painless by teaching us, being patient with us and ultimately, standing by us when a decision is made. Mouse She's so small and the task seemed so easy. Get her dislocated hip back into its socket. HA! It took Dr. Antoun and Chris a good two hours of tugging and pulling and Xraying to get Mouse put back together again. Neither of them went to the gym that night. Mouse had exhausted them.
Mumford This little guy is still a puzzle. All our vets could do was encourage us to keep him stimulated and keep watching him. He's still a puzzle but his adopters are pleased with his progress.
And my personal favorite...Pat
Born with a condition known as hypospadia, as well as a Grade 5 heart murmur, Pat didn't stand much of a chance.
His cardiologist gave him 6 months. Ber Mar gave him meds and special food and Pat just had his 6 year old birthday party.
These are just a small portion of the dogs that have passed through the waiting room at Ber Mar. They don't give up, they don't tell us we are crazy to do what we do AND where else could you find your Vet Tech snuggling with a tiger in the O.R.
