Isaiah 54:17; Isaiah 40:28; Proverbs 3:5-6; 2Thessalonians 3:13; Galatians 6:9 Hebrews 10:35
We are reminded that success is our heritage - I believe there is a consensus agreement that the pursuit of a new and enhanced Nazareth Baptist School is at a crossroads. NBS appears to be in a posture of potentially exploding for Christ - if the right decisions are made and people in Nazareth and around the world commit to provide the finances to make it happen. It is imperative that each of us involved SEEK GOD'S LEADERSHIP DAILY! We have the promise of Isaiah 54:17 that success is our heritage.
We are reminded that there will be opposition. We need to be cautioned that we can expect attacks from the devil, e.g. frustration, despondency, anger, etc. We are further reminded by Isaiah 40:28 that we are to LOOK TO THE LORD FOR OUR STRENGTH.
We are encouraged to Trust; To not lose heart but persevere and to maintain our commitment: "Commitment" - meaning a willingness to be uncomfortable, inconvenienced, and even unhappy for a while in order to accomplish a greater good.
Empowerment - In Biblical terms, "unction" is the anointing of the Holy Ghost, separating unto God's work and qualifying for it. This anointing is the one divine enablement by which the follower of Christ accomplishes God's purpose. Prayer, much prayer, is the price of anointing. Prayer, much prayer, is the sole condition of keeping it.
"Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth. God does nothing but in answer to prayer." - John Wesley
Scriptures as well as experience confirms that the follower of Christ will experience opposition. Let us understand that prayer is the key to empowerment to overcome the devil. Further, let us understand that the Holy Spirit is the provider of new hearts and renewed minds that would have us prioritize and invest in things that are eternal.
