GREETINGS!
Registration for summer baseball is now open and registration for the Town's Tennis Tournament begins June 1. Registration for activities such as summer swim lessons at the new Town pool, day camps, ramp camp, summer soccer, pickleball, tennis clinics, and more is on-going. Please note that the early bird discount rate for camp ends on June 1. Plus, check out other events happening at our Civic Centers.

Jim Fixx Memorial Day running races were held on May 28. For 5 mile race results

Information is provided below on special events that we are planning, including the concerts in the parks, fireworks, and the Sandblast Sand Sculpture Festival. Summer Camps Registration
|
Registration is open
online for Greenwich residents to sign-up for our day camps. Non-residents may register beginning June 1 by mail or in person.
Kamp Kairphree is a co-ed program for children
ages 5-12. It operates out of the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich on Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Busing is provided to and from camp from specific bus stops. There are four two-week sessions. Campers rotate between the EGCC and two locations at Greenwich Point Beach. Plus, each Wednesday, campers go to Island Beach by ferry.
Music and Art Camp is for those children
entering grades 4 through 9. Music Camp is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. There is a pre-requisite of at least one year of study with an instrument, except for the Beginner Band section. Art Camp has only the morning option available, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to noon. Afternoon Art is CLOSED. The program runs for five weeks.
NOTE: Camp will begin Tuesday, June 26, not Monday, June 25. The Greenwich Public Schools calendar was extended as a result of excessive snow days, and the last day for teachers is Monday, June 25.

Summer Soccer
and Baseball
Soccer Extreme will be holding two one-week
Summer Soccer programs for youth ages 4&5 and ages 6-12.
We also offer a
Summer Baseball program. Ages 6&7 and ages 8&9 are co-ed; whereas ages 10-12 is for boys. Register now, don't delay!
Greenwich Skatepark
The NEW Greenwich Skatepark, located at the foot of Arch Street is open.

Summer Swim Lessons at the new Greenwich Pool in Byram Park
Youth swim lessons for ages 4 and older will be held for three sessions at the new pool. Classes will be held in the mornings from Monday through Thursday with a rain date on Fridays. Registration is now open on-line. For additional details,

Tennis and Pickleball
The
Tennis Summer Schedule is available for youth and adult clinic instruction held in June and July. Tennis passes are needed for play on all 36 public park and school courts. Registration begins June 1 for the annual
Town Tennis Tournament

Summer Concert Series
The
Summer Concert Series schedule is now available. Save the dates of your favorite entertainers! The kick-off concert will be The Bob Button Orchestra on Wednesday, June 27 at Binney Park. All other Wednesday night concerts will be at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park beginning at 7:15 PM. Rain dates will be the next Thursday night, same time.
We have Sunday afternoon and evening events as well. Jazz on the Sound is back!

Bendheim Western Civic Center
Adults can participate in exercise classes. Open Co-ed Adult Volleyball is held Tuesdays from 7:30-9:30 PM; the drop-in fee is $4 per evening. Adults can also drop-in to play
Pickleball. Open gym hours are available for basketball and other activities; see the schedule on our website.

The
Greenwich Farmers Market is now open every Saturday through November from 9:30 AM -1:00 PM at the municipal parking lot at the corner of Horseneck Lane and Arch Street.

Credit & Refund Policy
Credit requests for recreation program registration will be considered if received in writing prior to the start of the program. There is a $15.00 administrative fee for credits. The general policy of the Recreation Division is that we do not process refunds unless a program has been cancelled. Please read all registration information carefully and contact us prior to registering for a program if you have any questions.

Parks and Recreation Foundation
The
Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation was set up to receive donations, allowing the community citizens and businesses an avenue to donate to the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation projects and programs. The foundation is a 501 (c)(3).

Griffith E. Harris Golf Course
|
The
2018 Men's Town Championship Golf Tournament is set for June 23rd, & 24th (Sat. & Sun.) and the
Women's Town Golf Championship is Monday, June 25th. Applications will be available at The Griff Pro Shop, all other Greenwich golf course pro shops and on the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course
website under Events starting the end of May. This is always an exciting and fun time for all applicants; be sure to sign up!
Due to The Grff's reputation for friendliness and course excellence, we have been honored by being selected to host the 2018 MGA Public Links Championship on Wednesday, June 20 of this year. This tournament is the oldest public links championship in the country. Golfers from Connecticut, New York and New Jersey will be vying for the title by playing 36 holes that day. The general public is welcome to come and watch at no charge. Our selection as the host for this prestigious tournament shows how well thought of our course is among the golfing community in the tri-state area and makes all of us at The Griff very proud. Residents may join our course by going to our website
(www.thegriffgolf.org) where our membership application can be found, or they can come to the course any day to do so. Check the website for proof of residency required with your application.

As a reminder, proof of Greenwich residency is required
once
each calendar year for all Parks and Recreation programs. The primary account holder is required to provide two current proofs of Greenwich residence. Acceptable forms of proofs with resident name and Greenwich address are as follows: residential lease, utility bill (gas, electric, water, oil), phone, internet and/or TV service bill (NO cell/wireless phone bills), credit card or bank statement (NO mortgage statement) or valid Driver's License or CT State ID card.
All participants, under 25, require a birth certificate or passport on file.
All non-residents must provide identification and proof of address. Thank you!
